Dubai Police Triathlon Registration Fees and Entry Details

One of the most practical questions for prospective participants is how much it costs to enter the Dubai Police Triathlon.

Visit Dubai lists tickets in the AED 100–200 range. However, the available official event information does not establish a complete fee breakdown for every race category, so participants should confirm the applicable amount before registering.

Sprint, Standard and Olympic Race Categories

The Dubai Police Triathlon will feature three race formats: Sprint, Standard and Olympic. According to the organisers' announcement reported by WAM, individual competitions will be divided into seven age categories.

Team competitions will also be available through relay events across the three formats.

A triathlon combines three endurance disciplines in a fixed sequence:

  1. Swimming

  2. Cycling

  3. Running

The distances differ according to the race format. Although Sprint and Standard/Olympic triathlons have commonly used distances, the exact course measurements for this particular event should be confirmed through the official race regulations before participants rely on them for training or race planning.

The event's individual and relay options make the race relevant to both solo competitors and athletes interested in team participation. However, eligibility requirements, age limits and relay team composition should be checked with the organisers.

Dubai Police Triathlon and the 2027 World Championships

The event's international connection is one of its most significant features.

WAM reports that the Dubai Police Triathlon has been included on the World Triathlon international calendar and will serve as a qualifying event for the 2027 World Championships in Hamburg, Germany, from September 8 to 12.

This gives the inaugural Dubai competition significance beyond local community sport. Athletes interested in international competition may want to review the applicable qualification rules before entering.

However, participation in the Dubai Police Triathlon should not be interpreted as an automatic qualification for the World Championships. Athletes should confirm the qualifying criteria, eligible categories and allocation of qualification places through the relevant official regulations.

Why Al Mamzar Beach Park Is Hosting the Event

Al Mamzar Beach Park provides a coastal setting for the competition and offers a location where athletes, families and spectators can gather.

Visit Dubai describes the park as a family-oriented beach destination. Its location makes it a recognisable venue for visitors looking for sporting activities and outdoor recreation in Dubai.

The organisers have said the venue was selected for its ability to accommodate athletes, spectators and families. The event is intended to promote an active lifestyle and encourage wider community participation.

Visitors who are not competing should check the event organisers' instructions before travelling, particularly for information about access, parking, spectator areas and any temporary restrictions. Specific race-day arrangements have not been independently confirmed in the information reviewed for this article.

Dubai Police's Wider Sports Programme

The triathlon is part of Dubai Police's 2026 cycling and sports programme, which includes 14 races over eight months, from September 2026 to April 2027.

The programme is being organised in cooperation with the UAE Cycling Federation and Dubai Sports Council. Its broader objective is to encourage physical activity and make sport a more regular part of community life.

The introduction of a triathlon adds swimming and running to the cycling-focused activities associated with the programme. It also creates another opportunity for Dubai to host events that bring together local participants and athletes interested in international competition.
