Material sent to us as a story tip is handled by the newsroom. We do not disclose the identity of a source who has asked for confidentiality.

How long we keep it

Messages are retained while they are live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us using the contact details on this site and we will respond within one month.
